Happy Little Rascals Terms of Agreement
Paperwork/Forms After Pet Owner’s initial inquiry via phone call, text, or email, Pet Sitter will schedule a Meet & Greet and e-mail Pet Owner any necessary paperwork and/or forms to fill out, sign, and email back to Pet Sitter before the scheduled Meet and Greet.
Meet and Greet A free Meet & Greet will be scheduled in order to meet you and your pets. At this meeting, we’ll determine whether we are a good fit for each other and discuss your pet’s needs, the previously fill-out paperwork, services, your desired schedule, and the cost of services.
Lock Boxes Pet Owner agrees that Pet Sitter will need access to Pet Owner’s home. Pet Owner agrees to Happy Little Rascals’ policy of using lock boxes. It is preferred that Pet Owner place 2 keys to the home in the lock box to help avoid any unexpected lock-out situations (key breaks in keyhole, etc). The lock box can be hung on a door (easy on and off) or placed in an easily accessible spot on the premises. Pet Owner agrees to provide Pet Sitter a $20 deposit for the lock box, which is fully refundable upon termination of services and return of lock box in the same condition as received, minus usual wear and tear.
Pet Sitter’s Insurance Requirements Pet Owner understands that because of Pet Sitter’s insurance coverage requirements, no one should be home during the time of any scheduled pet sitting visit, including friends, family, neighbors. Pet Owner agrees that if Pet Sitter must leave because of this, Pet Owner may be charged full price for the scheduled visit, even if the visit was not completed or not even started.
Emergency Veterinary Treatment Should any of the Pet Owner’s pets require emergency veterinary treatment, Pet Sitter will make all reasonable efforts to contact Pet Owner. If Pet Owner is not reachable, Pet Sitter will take appropriate actions, including obtaining veterinary care. Pet Sitter is not responsible for any veterinary fees that result from this action.
Pet Owner will be held responsible for any injury or damage caused to Pet Sitter as a result of previously undisclosed aggression in any of Pet Owner’s pets.
Cancellations Pet Owner must cancel services at least 24 hours in advance or may be charged the full amount for the services.
Payment Payment for scheduled services is payable in advance, before or upon the first day of scheduled services. Pet Owner will receive an invoice via e-mail or Pet Owner will leave cash or check for Pet Sitter upon Pet Sitter’s arrival to 1st scheduled service visit of the week.
